In article the major inducing factors of need of transfer of the rolling stock into gas motor fuel, such as are considered: high cost value of transportations; considerable decrease in volumes of oil production and production of liquid motor fuel at its simultaneous big consumption; excessive environmental pollution of dwelling of the person and animals waste of industrial production and harmful exhaust emissions. The resolution of the prime minister Dmitry Medvedev of May, 2013 "About expansion of use of natural gas as motor fuel" is stated. Restraining factors of implementation of natural gas vehicles are also given in territorial subjects of the Russian Federation.

The article substantiates the need to form segment information for automobile transport enterprises.
