Intangible cultural heritage is the root of Chinese culture and the path to its living transmission, while birch bark culture is the representative culture of this special historical period of gathering and hunting. By sorting out the reasons and background of birch bark culture of Elunchun Nationality, and taking specific birch bark implements as examples, this paper summarises the characteristics of birch bark culture as having a reflection on ecological ethics, the pursuit of practicality of implements, and a unique aesthetic feeling, aiming at proposing ideas for the protection and development of intangible cultural herit-age in northeastern minority areas.
