The article analyzes the global experience of using high-strength concretes (HSCs) in construction. It examines the definitions of HSCs in different countries, key examples of using this material in major infrastructure projects, technological advancements in the production of next-generation concretes, and the main areas of their application. Special attention is given to the challenges and prospects for the development of high-strength concrete technologies on a global scale.
In the first half of the 20th century, Russia's metallurgical industry faced numerous challenges and underwent significant transformations. This was facilitated by the contributions of scientists such as Nikolai Apollonovich Belelyubsky, Alexander Alexandrovich Baykov, and Nikolai Semenovich Kurnakov. Their research led to the widespread adoption of steel structures in industrial and civil construction.
