In this study, nitrile butadiene rubbers (NBR-18) were modified by collagen hydrolysate (CH). Using FTIR spectroscopy, it was established that a new absorption band was found on the spectra of modified rubbers, corresponding to vibrations of the -C=N bond, which indicates the grafting of CH on to NBR-18 macromolecules. It was established that the CH in the amount of 3 phr leaded to an improvement in the complex of properties of rubber compounds, contributing to an increase in: conditional tensile strength by 41%; frost resistance (Kw) by 9% at -20 C, by 11% at -30 C.
