The article examines the image of family in modern Russian married couples. The article presents the results of an empirical study involving 110 married couples (220 people) aged 23 to 72, with a marital experience ranging from 1 to 50 years. The study used the following methods: The Marriage Satisfaction Questionnaire by V. V. Stolin, T. A. Romanova, and G. P. Butenko; the Marriage Satisfaction Questionnaire by Yu. E. Aleshina; and the Semantic Differential Method. The authors have established that there is a relationship between the image of the family and the level of marital satisfaction in modern Russian married couples. The image of the family is fragmented and emotionally negative in almost all of the studied married couples with low marital satisfaction.
