the article presents a study of the characteristics of the development of writing younger students. The dependence of the development of writing and social intelligence of schoolchildren is shown. The important role of creative activity, ensuring the spontaneity of speech, the ability to choose a topic for writing, is substantiated. A technique for determining the level of development of writing among younger students is presented.
