The article reveals the concept of loneliness as a complex and contradictory phenomenon of personal development. The importance of studying the problem of loneliness in adolescence is emphasized. The disharmony of interpersonal relations is seen in adolescence as a factor in the emergence and experience of loneliness. The presented results of empirical research prove that the characteristics of disharmony of interpersonal relations, tension, conflict, aggressiveness, alienation, determine the level of experience of loneliness in adolescence.
