The article is devoted to the peculiarities of organizing and conducting classes in general military disciplines due to the different nature of the methods of training soldiers, which is determined by the nature and purpose of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the purpose and content of training and education of personnel. The methods of training the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were improved under the influence of the development of the means of armed struggle and, accordingly, the methods of conducting combat operations. In the process of learning, the teacher communicates knowledge to subordinates, consolidates them, develops the skills and abilities of the trainees, teaches them to act individually and as part of units. To solve these various educational tasks, the activity of the teacher and students, which is different in nature and content, is required, which is assessed in this article.
