the article analyzes the problem of educational and professional motivation of students. An overview of approaches to the study of educational and professional motivation of students is given. The article considers the influence of motives of different direction on the professional development of future sectionalists. The theoretical conclusions are confirmed by the results of an empirical study that describes the landing educational, training and professional motivation of first – year students. The article concludes by summarizing the results and outlining the prospects for building corrective work in this direction.
