The article reveals the peculiarities of the perception of history and the concept of patriotism among young people in modern Russia. The influence of information warfare on the formation of ideological views in history and search for ways to improve the process of developing of the civic consciousness among young people is highlighted.

The concept of preschool education emphasizes the need for special work in preschool institutions for patriotic education, taking into account the age characteristics of children, national culture and traditions of the people. In modern society, where the importance of fostering patriotism is becoming increasingly relevant, the possibilities of creating cartoons as an effective tool for children to develop a sense of belonging to their country, its culture and traditions are being explored. The paper discusses the main approaches to the education of patriotism, as well as methodological recommendations for organizing the activities of children in the process of creating a cartoon. The work is aimed at helping preschool teachers in pedagogical work on fostering patriotism among older preschoolers.
