Modern economic development leads to the development and implementation of new innovative methods used in the functioning of customs authorities. First of all, these methods include the use of digital economy, which increases the efficiency of interaction between all participants in foreign economic activity.

The article deals with the peculiarities of information systems and technologies in the customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union member states to improve the efficiency of customs control. Special attention is paid to such areas as electronic declaration, creation of a “single window” to simplify the procedures of foreign trade activities. Introduction of digital technologies speeds up the process of customs clearance, improves control over participants of foreign economic activity. The main tool for this is the Unified Automated Information System, which facilitates the exchange of information between EAEU member states.
