The article analyzes the main types of social barriers manifested in the employment of persons with disabilities. The problem of low employment, as a consequence of the attitude of society to the disabled, is considered. The authors provide data from an empirical research aimed at identifying the characteristics of social barriers to employing people with disabilities.
