The article discusses the main forms of using ash and slag waste in the housing sec-tor, which are determined by the strategic objectives of developing sustainable hous-ing construction, economic profitability, including processing and logistics costs, the hazard class of waste, the needs of the region, and the achievements of science and technology. The main risks associated with the use of ash and slag waste for the envi-ronmental situation are identified. The ways to minimize them, taking into account foreign experience, are proposed.
