The focus of modern onomastics is on the names of enterprises that perform not only a nominative-excretory function, but also informative, advertising and aesthetic. Therefore, the analysis of the linguistic means used in the creation of the ergonym, I think, will allow us to assess the activity of the use of the used lexemes, possible semantic changes, their expressiveness and evaluativeness.
The material of the study was the names of enterprises in Yakutsk that provide fu-neral services. These tokens were considered from the point of view of semantics, origin, structure and stylistic functions.
