The article notes the insufficient work on the development of ethical improvisation of the individual at different stages of the development of the future citizen and the subject of labor. The concept of "moral tests" is clarified, which implies not only readiness for ethically correct behavior, but also the readiness of a person to improvise in difficult situations of personal and professional self-determination. Examples of the use of "moral tests" at different stages of human development are given, with reference to specific methods that model ethically complex issues.
