The paper investigates the criminal and criminal-procedural rules on the appointment of a forensic-psychiatric expertise and possible conclusions that make experts, the way of determining sanity and insanity of a perpetrator of the crime, problems in this area, the issue of the investigative and judicial authorities on the basis of expert opinion.
