This article draws attention to the insufficiently researched problem of reading a modern schoolchild. The authors conduct a study of students of grades 6–8 of MBOU OOSH No. 14. The purpose of which is to study the reading interests of schoolchildren. In the course of the study, the authors identify the attitude of students in grades 6–8 of MBOU OOSH No. 14.
