The article considers the period of preschool childhood as an important period of the formation of the child's personality, the formation of spiritual and moral values. In the modern world, such concepts as "spirituality" and "morality" began to be distorted, material values began to come to the fore more and more, the role of folk traditions and the continuity of generations began to be belittled. In this regard, there was a need to introduce preschoolers to folk art, in order to revive the moral foundations, national traditions, and education of patriotism.
The article examines the process of studying folk traditions from the perspective of an indigenous approach. The purpose of the study is to reveal the features of the indigenous approach in the process of observing Yakut folk’s traditions. Hypothesis is the assumption that the indigenous approach can provide a more effectiveness in studying the folk traditions, since researches are conducted by the native people of the culture itself.
This article examines the possibilities of folk games as a means of educating tolerance in older preschool children to people of other nationalities. The authors have considered in detail the features of tolerance education in older preschool children and the possibilities of play as a means of tolerance education for children 6-7 years old.
