The purpose of the article is to study the specifics of lecture classes in a vocational education institution. The role of lectures as the leading form of group learning in relation to an educational institution of vocational education is shown. It is proved that lectures play an important role among the numerous forms of educational work. The pedagogical conditions for the effective conduct of lectures on economic disciplines using such a tool for ensuring the predictable outcome of the educational process as technology have been determined.
