One of the ways to increase motivation and improve learning is to use historical tasks in the learning process. The application of historical tasks activates the educational and cognitive activity of students, develops their creative abilities, promotes the formation of meta-subject educational results, mathematical and natural science literacy. Many of the tasks have a practical focus, showing how and why mathematics developed (examples are given).
