The features of the resistance of flat metal samples under uniaxial loading in the elastic deformation zone were studied by X-ray diffractometry. X-ray surveys of the surface of an elastically deformed sample were performed in the «in situ» mode as the applied external loads increased.
A special portable device has been created for loading flat metal samples in real time, for uniaxial tension in the zone of elastic stresses. The design of the device provides registration of changes in the inten-sity and direction of the X-ray scattering angle in the «in situ» mode from a point on the surface of a uniaxi-ally loaded sample that remains unchanged relative to the main axis of the optical axis of the diffractometer.
The correspondence of models describing the processes of resistance of polycrystalline materials to deformation by low stresses corresponding to the initial section of the deformation diagram has been estab-lished in the low loads zone, in the range of elastic stresses (σ) in the range 0,3σт <σ <0,9σт.
