The article examines the issue of professional self-determination of schoolchildren in the context of modern educational trends. Special attention is paid to the role of a practice-oriented approach, which promotes a more informed choice of a future profession and the development of necessary professional skills. Using the example of the Growth Point center, the possibilities of implementing this approach are demonstrated through the use of modern equipment and technologies, as well as the organization of practical classes and the use of integrative tasks. Emphasizes the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience to effectively prepare young people for professional activities.
