The article discusses innovations in the study of aviation English at a military university, presents the advantages of using innovative technologies, and discusses the possibilities of applying these technologies in practice.

The article is devoted to the actual problem of the effective teaching of fundamental university disciplines such as Old Church Slavonic language and Introduction to Slavonic Philology. The authors analyze the possibilities of extracurricular activities for the actualization and improvement of students’ knowledge.
