Keyword: «isolated power regions»
The development of Russia's Arctic territory faces a number of challenges, one of which is ensuring reliable and efficient energy supply to isolated settlements. Traditional methods of electricity generation based on diesel plants are characterized by high energy consumption, expensive fuel transportation, and significant environmental impact. Therefore, it is crucial to explore the possibilities of integrating renewable energy sources (RES) into existing energy systems.
This article explores the advantages and limitations of hybrid power supply systems that combine traditional diesel fuel with renewable energy, and examines the potential for their widespread adoption in the Arctic region of Russia.
