The article analyzes the role of multilingualism in the transformation and digitalization of industry translation studies as a scientific discipline and a practical area of professional activity. The article examines development trends in industry translation studies in Russia, neighboring countries, and beyond, as well as prospects for overcoming key problems. Particular attention is paid to the interaction of linguistics, terminology, information technology, and sociocultural context in the development of translation models for specific industries.
