According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, a new constitutional principle enshrined in Art. 75.1 is to create conditions for sustainable economic growth. Periodic economic crises undermine the stability of the economic system, including the activities of small and medium-sized businesses. Recent years, asso-ciated with the spread of coronavirus infection, numerous economic sanctions caused by a special military operation, etc., have demonstrated new challenges and the unwillingness of the right to ensure the protection of the rights of eco-nomic entities and, above all, representatives of small and medium-sized busi-nesses, who are forced to stop their activities en masse. The paper attempts to analyze only some of the problematic aspects of the legal regulation of the protec-tion of small and medium-sized businesses, without claiming to be a general anal-ysis of the stated topic.
