This article is devoted to the analyses of polemological representations in byzantine military treatises according Leonis VI Tactica etc. The author showed that the model of representations of war and military service reflected the more canonical and rhetorical regulations in byzantine intellectual sphere. The main feature of image of the byzantine military commander was established. The article focused even more closely on how this model of Kekaumenos biography presented in literary scope.
