Hunan Huagu Musical Theater Drama is a rich folk and performance art that is mainly accompanied by traditional folk instruments such as Hunan huagu, nana, piba, flute and gong. The melodies are lively and relaxed, the language is simple and natural, and the melodies are smooth and fun. In 2008, Hua Gu Opera was included in the second part of China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This article briefly discusses the artistic characteristics and forms of Changsha Huagu Opera using «Mr. Zhang Asks for Money» as an example.
