Terminology is a crucial element in teaching of Aviation English. It is necessary to establish principles of selecting the terminological vocabulary. As our research showed, the best option is the combination of quantitative and qualitative principles.

The article is dedicated to the methodology of teaching specific terminology to cadets of military aviation institutions of higher education within the professionally oriented translation course. The author offers a system of exercises which will enable the cadets to learn military aviation terms more effectively.
