The article is devoted to the study of the history of development of military in-vestigative bodies in the Russian Federation from 2011 to 2022. The significance of the chosen period of time in the development of military investigative bodies lies in the entry into force on January 15, 2011 of the Federal Law «On the Inves-tigative Committee of the Russian Federation». The article is aimed at studying the formation and development of military investigative bodies within the struc-ture of the Investigative Committee in the period from 2011 to 2022. The author concludes on the consequences of the separation of the Investigative Committee from the Prosecutor’s Office.
