In the article, the author examines the role of Gavril Romanovich Derzhavin as an outstanding figure in Russian history, the Minister of Justice, as well as the Prosecutor General of the Russian Empire. The author analyzes the merits of this person in state-building, creativity, and the creation of normative foundations for the development of Russian statehood. The author, based on the analysis of special literature, the results of the study, emphasizes the uniqueness of the personality of Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin both as a state employee and as a citizen, patriot of his country, who had, among other things, literary talents. The merits of Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin are inextricably linked with his desire to serve for the good of the Fatherland, which is of particular interest and relevant for the education of future civil servants in educational organizations of the Russian Federation.
This article examines certain aspects of the legal status, organizational structure, functions, and powers of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Abkhazia, including its role in the enforcement of judicial decisions and the protection of court buildings and premises. Based on an analysis of the Regulation on the Ministry of Justice and other normative legal acts, the author presents a systematic characterization of the ministry’s tasks and functions, including its participation in lawmaking, maintenance of state registries, and coordination of the notarial system, the bar, and civil registry offices. Special attention is given to the scholarly discussion on the potential control of the judiciary by the executive branch. Claims regarding the subordination of the courts to the Ministry of Justice are examined and refuted. The author concludes by defining the role of the Ministry of Justice within the legal system of Abkhazia and affirms the ministry's non-interference in the administration of justice within the Republic.
