The main provisions of the nonlinear vortex method for solving non-stationary problems and the use of the method to determine the aerodynamics of the main rotor (RO) when maneuvering a helicopter are considered. In order to reduce the complexity of calculations, the possibility of using a numerical version of the classical method is also justified, which allows one to determine, taking into account experimental data, the distribution of aerodynamic forces and moments along the span of the NV blades in the general case of helicopter motion.
