The article, on the basis of handicraft items made by the craftswoman E. M. Bernikova (1898–1983), a native of the Arkhangelsk province, traces the changes that occurred in folk weaving and the character of traditional embroidery and knitting from the beginning to the middle of the XX century. The collection of items was donated to the Museum of the History of the resort city of Sochi from her great-granddaughter M. A. Maznichenko in June 2018.
