The article presents the results of empirical studies of the occupational stress and adaptation. The study shows that the process of adaptation to stress affect the socio-psychological characteristics. Constructive ways of behavior are: the choice of cooperation, a strong desire to be with people, taking responsibility and decision-making.

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of emotional burnout among social service employees. Based on the analysis of the specifics of professional activity, a two-level prevention model has been developed that combines organizational and personal aspects. The results make it possible to develop targeted psychological support programs for social institutions.
