The peculiarities of several dictionaries are described on the base of chosen Russian poetic texts. To do such a description various grounds are taken into consideration. The concept of a new poetic dictionary is presented; special attention is devoted to the field organization of the dictionary entry with its subdivision into the core and peripheral parts. A new model of the dictionary entry is illustrated on the example of stable associative links of the word-object ‘snowstorm’. We suppose that such a dictionary allows us to systematize the results of aesthetic development and understanding of a chosen object as well as the dynamics of poetic consciousness.

The article investigates the outcomes of a linguo-conceptual analysis of lexical units within the denotative class in Russian poetry from the 18th to the 21st centuries, with a focus on their lexicographic representation. To achieve this, an overview of writers' dictionaries is conducted, and an attempt is made to formulate the content of the artistic image in the form of a dictionary entry, listing those aesthetic meanings and associations that have gradually formed in the works of Russian poets. The central aim is to demonstrate how this collected material can be structured not merely descriptively but through a systematic lexicographic approach.
