The article reveals the problem of the formation of logical thinking techniques in children of primary school age, in particular the method of classification, which indicates the urgent need for the formation of this technique in children in the process of mathematical education. The necessary psychological and pedagogical conditions under which the classification will be formed most effectively are noted. In addition, the paper presents a description of an empirical study on the formation of this technique in students of the 2nd grade.
The article reveals the problem of the formation of concepts of quantities in elementary school students in the process of teaching mathematics. The authors of the article describe the theoretical and practical stages of research related to the formation of the basic concept of elementary mathematical education, the results of diagnostics of the initial level of knowledge of the concept of magnitude in 4th grade students are presented, as well as a description of the developed set of exercises in mathematics aimed at improving students' concepts of quantities and their measurements.
The article provides a theoretical justification of the methodological foundations of the formation and development of spatial thinking in younger schoolchildren when teaching mathematics; describes the content of the work on identifying the initial level of spatial thinking development in 1st grade students using diagnostic techniques. A selection of tasks and exercises on the formation of spatial thinking in younger schoolchildren is proposed.
