The authors justify the necessity of expansion and purposeful formation of children reading area in terms of pupils’ requests. The analyzed results of questionnaires showed that kinds of literature, preferred by the students, do not meet their personal needs. In the basis of conducted study, the authors give the practical recommendations for teachers of literature.
