In the context of the global outbreak of the new coronavirus epidemic, distance learning courses covering not only various disciplines, but also international teaching, including art courses for foreign students, have become the main method of teaching at the stage of prevention and control of the global epidemic. Using the example of art courses at Tomsk State University, the current situation, effectiveness, problems and countermeasures of online teaching for foreign students are analyzed and summarized. Specific coun-termeasures are proposed in terms of online platform establishment, teaching organization and management, and teaching mode to provide a basis for online teaching and special period teaching reform.
