This article attempts a brief analysis of the literature devoted to the psychological component of breast cancer. Turning to the subject have shown that much of the work belong to foreign authors. In our country, issues related to psychological aspects of the disease have attracted the attention of researchers since the late 80's-early 90 –ies of XX century Both abroad and in our country, mostly, the problem was studied by psychiatrists. Today we can say that psychologists have paid attention to research of problems of the psychological component of breast cancer and data from these studies can be used to build psycho-correction work with women with breast cancer.
