The article deals with the features of project and research technologies as innovative ways of foreign language teaching in a secondary school. The author concludes that project-research activities reveal the creative potential of students, promote the individualization of learning and consider the personal qualities and interests of students at a foreign language lesson. They also develop foreign language communicative competence more effectively.
