In the scientific article, the authors attempted to critically understand and theoretically substantiate the pedagogical conditions for the formation of retelling in preschool children with general speech underdevelopment. An analysis and brief description of the prerequisites for the formation of the retelling skill, as well as the specific features of this skill in preschool children with general speech underdevelopment were carried out. As a result of the study, a connection was established between the process of forming retelling skills in the studied category of children and the quality of pedagogical conditions in preschool educational institutions that contribute to the effectiveness of this area of correctional and developmental work.
