Indicators and socio-economic consequences of inflation play a significant role in ensuring the economic security of the country. Inflation has a complex, multi-criteria and almost inevitable character. High inflation rates lead to a decrease in purchasing power, make economic regulation impossible, and negate efforts to carry out structural transformations. The relevance of the inflation study is determined by the need to develop an effective model for managing and ac-counting for inflation in each region of the country

The article is devoted to the analysis of dynamic changes in the cost of living in the Siberian Federal District. The paper compares the cost of living of the Omsk region with individual regions. According to the results of the structural analysis of the indicators of the subsistence minimum, the Omsk region has a lower value among the regions of the district.
