The article examines the socio-psychological context of environmental education as a key factor in developing environmental awareness and responsible attitudes toward nature. It highlights the psychological and sociocultural foundations of ecological consciousness, analyzes the features of environmental upbringing in the context of modern global challenges, and focuses on the influence of the social environment, values, and interpersonal interactions on students’ environmental attitudes. The study concludes that environmental education should be approached comprehensively, integrating cognitive, emotional-value, and behavioral components.
