The article reflects the reasons and objectives of using authentic material in school activities. The paper presents ways to adapt language material on a specialized topic – biology, as well as the features of integrating special scientific vocabulary in foreign language classes. The possibility of using this methodological development in English lessons in high school students with a chemical and biological specialization is considered. The article highlights the prospect of using special vocabulary in the professional training of future English language teachers to teach the adaptation of language material and the integration of special knowledge into foreign language classes.
