In the article we have characterized the phenomenon of adolescent and youth subcultures. The interrelation of color and various socio-psychological aspects within adolescent and youth subcultures is shown. To achieve the research goal, a content analysis and a survey were conducted. The purpose of the content analysis is to identify what color content is in the symbols of representatives of adolescent and youth subcultures. The survey allowed us to find out the peculiarities of people's perception of color preferences of representatives of adolescent and youth subcultures.
