The modeling of the regional picture of the world is observed in the research paper. It is based on the texts of the 18th and 19th centuries scientists and public figures, who visited the territories of the White and the Barents Seas, or lived here. Some features of these texts make it possible to consider them as a whole but not monolithic discourse due to its multilayered and polyhedral informative space. The texts are featured by objective reflection of information about the region, explication of the assessment position in relation to different phenomena, peculiar dialogues between the authors of texts, and their appeals to the contemporaries. There are some attributes which make regional picture of the world different from the dialect one. Possible approaches to modeling of the regional picture of the world and the basis for segregation of different blocks of the model inside this discourse are described. The blocks are segregated with an allowance for the unity of their meaning.
