The article reveals the concept of loneliness as a complex and contradictory phenomenon of personality development. The importance of studying the problem of loneliness in adolescence is emphasized. The authors analyze the results of an empirical study of the characteristics of the experience of loneliness in adolescence. The results obtained by the author indicate that among young men with different levels of feeling of loneliness, different types of experience of loneliness are noted as prevailing, while the degree of experience (strength of experience) of loneliness is also different.

The article analyzes the results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of disharmony in interpersonal relations of young men with different levels of feeling of loneliness. The results obtained by the author indicate that young men with different levels of loneliness experience differences in the indicators of tension, alienation, conflict, aggressiveness.
