the article presents the results of an empirical study of the characteristics of the emotional-volitional sphere of children of senior preschool age, depending on the micro-social conditions of the family situation. Statistically significant differences in groups of preschool children were obtained for all criteria of emotional and volitional development selected in the study, depending on the micro-social conditions of the family situation (a complete family / an incomplete family): ability to restrain emotions, self-regulation, self-control, dedication, discipline, autonomy, initiative, arbitrariness. The obtained results show that the favorable micro-social conditions of the family situation, which are expressed primarily in the family (a complete family / an incomplete family), are the motivating factors of the formation of the emotional-volitional regulation of the personality.
