Currently implemented models of food supply chain management do not fully meet the needs of today, they do not meet the requirements prevailing on the market, do not provide additional competitive advantages and ensure the proper level of economic security. In this regard, the issue of the development of models and algorithms for supply chain management that takes into account current market trends, especially the distribution of goods and the level of solvent demand of the population becomes urgent. The main problems associated with the formation of effective supply chains that take into account regional characteristics, differences in transport infrastructure and the level of demand for various types of food are considered.
