The article is devoted to the development of legal approaches regarding the understanding of virtual property as a possible subject of crimes against property. The author analyzes the features of virtual property from the standpoint of the postulate of property rights. It is proposed to consider virtual property as an unusual type of property, which is not characterized by a sign of materiality.
